Ms. Stephens is an author!
For School Library Month, Springfield Elementary School was buzzing with excitement as Teacher Librarian Regina Stephens and her co-author, Hedy Fraizer, brought their lyrical book Rainy Day Blues to life for students! The duo, who first met while teaching kindergarten at the former West Hardeeville Elementary School, shared how their book began as a song they co-wrote for a kindergarten graduation—what an inspiring journey!
During Related Arts with kindergarten through fifth grade, students were treated to an interactive experience filled with storytelling, music, and creativity. Ms. Stephens and Ms. Fraizer not only read and sang their book, but also introduced students to the many roles involved in bringing a story to life. Most importantly, they encouraged everyone to “imagine the possibilities” of what they can become and achieve.
The room was filled with energy as students joined in with singing, lively conversations, and even a little dancing! It was a joyful celebration of reading, creativity, and the power of imagination.
