Kathryn Quinlan

My Family

Hello!  My name is Kathryn Quinlan and I am a second grade teacher at Springfield Elementary.  I absolutely love what I do and thrive on finding new and exciting ways to teach my students!  I welcome all learning styles and the challenge of discovering how to teach each student the way they learn best.  My classroom management style consists of balancing consistency and routine, teaching and modeling how to respect and encourage each other, and the continued positive reinforcement of choices and consequence.

This is my eighth year at Springfield and I could not be happier to be a part of this wonderful teaching community!  I look forward to the continued learning that will take place during the 2018-2019 school year!  Please feel free to stop by any time; I strongly believe and support an open-door policy.  My door is always open and you are always welcome to stop by and observe us hard at work!

Hope to see you soon,

Mrs. Quinlan

Using a desktop, laptop, or tablet you can access the Clever App at home!  Your awesome second grader accesses this app each day and it focuses on reinforcing and extending skills in Math and ELA.  The Dreambox App is Math-focused and the Lexia App is ELA/Phonics-focused.  Use the following information to access these apps using your child's CCSD login:

-In your search bar enter or select the link for the website http://https//
-Once the website is accessed, your child's CCSD login can be entered with the username (first three letters of their last name, first three letters of their first name, and the last four digits of their student ID).  For example, Kathryn Quinlan with student ID 12345 would have the username "quikat2345" and password is "123456".
-Your child was sent home with a flyer sharing this information on 11/7/18 and it included their specific username and password.  Please let me know if you are in need of a replacement flyer via email or a note sent to school with your child.

Here are some great resources to utilize at home with your child to support skills and concepts being taught at school.  Have fun watching them grow!
-Spelling City supports Spelling skills
-MyOn encourages students to read and builds comprehension, vocabulary, and stamina
